Once upon a Summer Afternoon

Blue skies and sun shining on,

A bright August sky filled with glamour

And the sound of our laughter

We stand in the garden

Watching nature’s marvels as I roll my camera,

Ivy branches growing and yearning

Reaching for The Sky,

White pillars, arched windows,

Day filled with fun

No worries in sight,

Friends and dress up

Laughter and bliss,

Each moment passes,

Without even a miss

Chatting with friends… once upon a summer afternoon

Yesterday afternoon as I was writing this poem, all the wonderful memories of that beautiful day came alive. Day spent with friends is always a day well spent.
